Seminole Indians Involved in the Gambling Issue

Posted by admin in News on July 29th, 2009 |  No Comments »

The Florida’s state lawmakers aren’t so high when we’re talking about the gambling expansion for the Seminole Indians. When they had to deal with this problem by Gov. Charlie Crist the past session, they fiddled around with a half-hearted effort. They did this only to permit this gambling expansion.

The House and the Senate have decided to agree with this, so the Gov. Charlie Crist had to take the legislators’ idea back to the Seminole Indians.

The outspoken Rep. Bill Galvano affirmed that “They want a counter offer and that’s not what the legislation called for” and also added that they don’t see this as a possibility to try again the negotiation.

In this time, Seminoles are thinking that since there is class III allowed, they have the chance to offer gambling at casinos.

All this time, the Governor Charlie Crist was trying to obtain the compact with the Seminole Indians done for a couple of years and in 2007 he had a great negotiation of a compact with the Seminoles.

Gambling Not Good As it Seems

In the lasttime, Alabama likes a lot to do several affair with gambling and it has decided to leave it cheating on its own state with mistresses in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, etc and even Las Vegas.

From some of he most well known casinos from Mississippi you can buy good lottery tickets as in Florida or Georgia. Most of real gambIers have done this kind of things. Maybe not all of them, maybe they did more than we could have ever supposed. There is a small problem about people who would oppose gambling reform in Alabama.

This is happening because legalized gambling exists even now in these states ad maybe there are not even casinos. These are also called bingo halls.Even bingo halls from Birmingham have a lot of electronic slot machines. The prizes weren’t widgets, players could win several cold hard cash rewards.

However, these so-called bingo halls will continue to run and be sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Most of simple people said that it depends on players who risked their lives in doing so crazy things like gambling.

Players To Decide For Blackjack Game

Posted by admin in News on June 29th, 2009 |  No Comments »

Gambling games are priced as players lose more money, the earnings are bigger.
But in reality, different casinos don’t have as much tables on games as they have had. They did this to attract their clients as long as the hard economic times exist.

As an example,  Wynn Las Vegas is trying to offer around 25 dollars double deck blackjack games in weekends, down from a 50 dollars per hand. On the other side, the Sahara offers only one dollar blackjack game.

Players consider this move as being a retrait  from the high minimums in the last few years. Then was when the table minimums at many Strip properties have increased their hotel room rates, drink prices and restaurant checks.

Almost all of the blackjack wagers on the Strip casinos fell with 1 billion dollars after peaking the 2008 year. These casinos have also kept around 11 % of the blackjack wagers, a percentage point less than in the previous year.

Anthony Curtis, publisher of the Las Vegas Advisor newsletter said that high minimums have neer made a lot of sense because they make players to burn through some bankrolls and then gamblers decide to leave them earlier than they thought.

He added that the lower minimums were everywhere, even at  MGM Mirage and Harrah’s casinos.

At this time, Yvette Monet, the MGM Mirage’s spokeswoman doesn’t allow using the word “lower”. Each day they adjust their limits at the table game based on how many clients they have daily.

Atlantic City: Don’t Discuss Economy With Gamblers

Posted by admin in News on April 10th, 2009 |  No Comments »

That’s the recommendation from the head of Atlantic City’s Casino Association, who warns that talking with gamblers about how bad the economy is can be a losing proposition.

Joe Corbo, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey, said Atlantic City casinos have been hit hard, just as other businesses have nationwide.

Making small talk with customers about the current national concern may seem like a good way to bond with them.

Joe Corbo, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey said that no threats or punishment will be handed out to casino workers who do discuss the economy with customers. He said customers come to Atlantic City to escape for awhile, and no-economy-talk is one way casinos can help them do that.

Last year, Atlantic City’s 11 casinos saw their gross operating profits plunge by nearly 25 percent, and the resort is in its third straight year of declining revenues.
