There are numerous ways in which the everyday person can get in on the act and make their own small business. One of the most tried and tested ideas on the net, in terms of creating your own business is that of affiliate marketing. Thousands around the world have or still are taking advantage of this hugely lucrative market. But do not be put off by the number of opposing sites, the market is not built like so many on creating a market share and then capitalising on it. Personal website owners can earn some extra revenue just by simply hosting affiliate-advertising banners. The more business orientated and larger affiliate sites can go much further creating an entire business from the industry. It may sound a little far fetched, but when you consider that thousands of people are earning substantial amounts of cash from this simple program, it is actually a hugely effective a profitable business model.

New affiliates can choose almost any online industry to represent, most offer bonuses and free start-ups for their new partners. However few of these industries can rival the financial muscle and the astonishing growth of the sports betting business. With an industry that generates such a huge turnover each and every year, you know you are essentially representing one of the market giants. Similarly the sports betting industry is constantly growing with hundreds of people looking to join each day, which in turn means more potential custom for them and the affiliates. The sports betting affiliate program gives new affiliates the chance to experience some of the earning power of the online bookmakers. Without having to risk a penny, affiliate marketers can earn up to 35% of a player’s money generated for their entire lifetime on the site, just by recommending them.

Affiliate programs don’t cost a penny to join so there is no financial risk to be considered. The sports betting sites will provide their new affiliates with all the banners and links that they need to direct people to their site. This means that even the advertising is sewn up, leaving the affiliate the relatively easy task of choosing the content and advertising of their site. The affiliates are essentially self employed and working wholly for themselves, they have no bosses and no one to produce results for except themselves. Therefore they are free to experiment with site content as much as they wish, producing anything that they really want. Similarly the way in which an affiliate markets their own site is completely up to them. The Internet is swarming with excellent marketing tools, but depending on an affiliates budget some may be easier than others. The main problem an affiliate faces, as it is for every site, is the initial challenge of bringing people into their own site. The affiliate faces a secondary problem, which is persuading their visitors to follow links to a secondary site and join up. There is no easy solution for either of these problems, but there are plenty of options available to overcome them.

While live roulette is a game of chance and it is impossible to continually predict where the ball will land there are a few steps you can take to help put the odds of winning in your favor. In a game of chance using a roulette strategy is no guarantee you will win, but a well devised roulette strategy can decrease your losses, and then you will have a strategy that might give you an opportunity to become a winner.

Picking the right wheel is the first live roulette strategy you should consider, a European wheel only has a single green pocket numbered zero while the American wheel has two giving the casino an extra advantage and you a lesser one. For this reason it’s a good idea to always play on a European wheel.

In order for roulette strategies to work they need to apply a few key points, one is that you need to be able to repeat it. Money management also plays a part in a roulette strategy, because roulette has a higher “house advantage” than other games such as blackjack. Some players use what is known as a “negative-progression strategy” or “doubling strategy” they will double up their betting amound every time they dont win. This is a dangerous strategy to play as it can definitely increase your overall losses, and a single win might only get you back to where you started from. The most common roulette strategy is also the oldest known as the “Martingale system”, this involves both money management and doubling up.

Reading finished their Championship winning campaign in style, by beating Sunderland’s points record by one point. Graeme Murty’s late penalty, only his second goal for the club and first of the season, ensured the Royals beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 and finished the season on 106 points.

Dave Kitson gave Reading the lead five minutes before the break but veteran Paul Furlong looked set to spoil the party when he equalised for the Hoops on 72. But Murty secured victory with six minutes left from the penalty spot, scoring 3/10 Reading’s 99th goal of the season.

Sheffield United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to ensure the Eagles finished in the sixth and final play-off spot. Chris Morgan scored the only goal of the game with nine minutes remaining for the 20/21 Blades.

Watford got the point they needed to finish third in the table after a goalless draw against Hull at Vicarage Road. The 5/2 draw means Adrian Boothroyd’s men now take a five-match unbeaten run into the play-offs semi final against Crystal Palace.

Preston earned a psychological edge over play-off opponents Leeds after beating them 2-0 at Deepdale. Brian Stock scored direct from a free kick after 38 minutes for the 6/5 Lillywhites and Brett Ormerod added a second on 77.

Wolves finished the season one place off but eight points adrift of the play-off places with a 2-1 win at Norwich. Denes Rosa opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and Mark Kennedy doubled Wolves’ advantage on 71. Robert Earnshaw hit back for the Canaries two minutes later but Glenn Hoddle’s side held firm at 14/5.

Coventry finished the season strongly at the expense of out-of-form Cardiff. Stern John broke the deadlock for the Sky Blues after eight minutes but the Bluebirds levelled through Steve Thompson on 21. Dele Adebola on 65 and Dennis Wise in stoppage time sealed a convincing Even money win at the Ricoh Arena.

Stoke boss Johan Boskamp ended his tenure in charge on a high after thumping Brighton 5-1, making a nonsense of the 8/5 odds available. Youngster Adam Rooney scored after 6 and 22 minutes before Mamady Sidibe made it three a couple of minutes before the break. Rooney completed his hat-trick on 63 and Peter Sweeny struck his first form the club on 82. Doug Loft grabbed a consolation two minutes later but the result condemned the Seagulls to bottom position in the table.

Why would they allow twenty horses in a race in the first place is a good question and after yesterdays post position draw, the trainers for Lawyer Ron and Brother Derek, have to be fuming on the inside.

Brother Derek the favorite for the “Run for the Roses” has been annihilating opposition in California this spring but the fields have been small and he was a disappointing fourth in his only bulky field from post 13 at the Breeders Cup last November. Now he gets the 18th starting slot!

Dan Hendricks the trainer for Brother Derek has had his share of adversity, with his most recent being a paralyzing accident from a motocross accident is 2004, so he simply suggested jockey Alex Solis will track Lawyer Ron around the 1 ¼ course.

Lawyer Ron trainer Bob Holthus was diplomatic in his horse drawing the 17th hole and suggested that a muddy track will favor horses on the outside. His talented three year -old is unbeaten in six races!

I’m smiling this morning as Bob Baffert’s Bob & John my pick in the Derby has drawn the seven hole and this will allow him to get settled just off the pace and watch the rabbits in the race, run each other into the ground. If it comes up sloppy he has proven himself on this type of surface and he has been bumped around enough in California that the bulky field will not be an issue.

Much has been made of the schedule that Barbaro has used to prepare himself for the 132nd running of the Kentucky Derby, especially his race five weeks prior to this Saturday. Most insiders suggest that the horse will not be tight enough but he breezed 4 furlongs in an incredible 46 seconds last Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Let’s start with Google the internet search engine. Type in online casino and it brings back more than 27 million websites. The shear volume for the term online casino reflects how many people have vested interests in the gaming industry and how popular online casinos have become. The first online casinos first made their appearance during 1996 and a mere US$17 million was wagered, compared to US$3 billion by 2000.

It is estimated today that more than a trillion dollars gets spent online each year with online casinos worldwide. Bear Stearns, a leading worldwide investment banking and securities trading and brokerage firm, estimates that during 2003 more than US$ 6 billion had been spent on online casinos by US gamblers alone! With the growing adoption of broadband internet this online pool of gamblers increases each year.

With online casinos there has also been the expansion of online advertising to gamblers, which according to the BBC places gambling advertisers as the fifth largest advertisers on the internet. Online casinos make use of two types of software. Those that you can download and install onto your computer and the true online casinos where you gamble on the interface of the online casinos web page. Each party makes their choices of how they wish to interact online. With all this sophisticated software, how do online casinos compare to your average brick and mortar casino? Each has their advantages. In an online casino you can play more than one poker game at a time or even gamble on more than one game at a time. In a normal casino this would not be physically possible. The advantage of any real casino compared to an online casino is that you can always judge the physical reaction of the players around the table.

With an online casino it is impersonal and you would never be able to guess the cards the other person is holding. Online casinos have made great strides in trying to mimic the feel of a real casino in the fashion of the bricks and mortar casinos. They have flashy web pages and music to lure you to play. Domain names in it self have become a big issue with the purchase of misspelled domain names for online casinos.

A recent dispute with the domain name of Sportsodds springs to mind. This domain name was registered by their competitor to drive traffic to the competitor’s webpage’s. This ended in a legal dispute. Online casinos are big business judging from the amount of money that gets placed on bets and by the amount of money being spent on it. Where there is big money, there will always be disputes.

Casinos use to be down the road or in your next big town. That has changed in the 21st century. With the advent of online casinos the casino is now in your home. Better yet, if you are reading this, you are already at the casinos doorstep.

However, it is the casino version of the game that gives Craps its reputation of being a fast paced, exciting game. Players often begin with this game in the casino because of its ease of play. The basic concept is this: you place a bet on what is referred to as the “passline bet.” You make your wager before you roll the dice. If you roll a 7 or 11, then you win. If you roll a 12, 3 or 2, you lose. Any other number becomes the point number, meaning that number must be rolled again before the seven for you to win anything. If you roll the seven before you roll the point number, then you lose.

However, you do have the option to bet again in addition to your original bet. It is known as the odds bet: meaning the casino (online or real) does not have their usual house advantage and it also hedges on true odds. Many casinos and online casino sites offer lessons for Craps as it is one of the most popular and exciting games played. There is usually a great amount of money riding on Craps games and the atmosphere around the Craps table is filled with cheering spectators, all vying for the opportunity to see a player win big. This is the best way to get in the game when you are checking out a casino.

Most online casinos will allow you to play the game for free before offering you the option to play for real money. So what are you waiting for? Stop by at an online casino today and see for yourself what the fuss surrounding a game of Craps is all about.

The US has been in violation of European Union trade agreements since they have cracked down on Internet gambling. The EU has given the US a grace period to correct their laws.

The EU has conducted an investigation that culminated earlier this year in a letter sent to the US.

EU Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton said: “Today was not a day to resolve any problems, but rather to set out the approach we are going to take, who would do what, and to agree to keep in touch,” .

Ashton, along with US Trade Representative Ron Kirk agreed to tackle the issues in the coming months.

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank chairman of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committe said he would introduce a bill next week to overturn a three year old U.S. ban on Internet gambling.

The legislation would overturn a law imposed during the Bush administration that has hurt U.S. trade ties with the European Union.

Online gambling proponents may have to wait a little longer for the passage of federal legislation that would legalize betting on the Internet.

Macquarie Securities gaming analyst Joel Simkins told investors not to bet the house on Internet gambling becoming legal anytime soon.

His prognosis comes despite a White House that is seemingly friendlier toward Internet gamblers and the support of Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who plans to reintroduce a bill after the Easter holiday that would legalize and regulate Internet gaming.

Lobbyist contacts and casino company operators dialed into Capitol Hill, Simkins put steep odds on the issue seeing any light.

Simkins said: “We see little reason for investors to try to play this near-term,”.

Online gambling has long interested the casino industry, mainly due to the reported revenues the activity has produced. Estimates by Internet gaming advocacy groups peg the amount of money annually wagered online at anywhere from $20 billion to $25 billion.
