The Popularity and Risks of Online Gambling

Posted by admin in Gambling on December 26th, 2010 |  No Comments »

People have gambled from ancient times, like China and Rome, to the current day. You see gambling everywhere you go. People seem to enjoy their chance at lotto, sweepstakes, horse racing, poker, to name a few. If you are not in, you can not win. In today’s age of the computer, gambling has taken an added direction of being online. The method of online gambling is very popular but it can have some risks.
Here are two reasons on the Popularity of Online Gambling.
1. You can gamble from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a computer, an active internet connection and a credit card. You do not need to go out to a casino or the horse races, which is great if it is freezing outside. For casino type gambling all you have to do is open an account and try your luck.
2. Online gambling provides the same thrill and excitement as you get with traditional gambling. And it can provide every type of gambling there is.
Here are two Risks of Online Gambling
1. Losing a great amount of money: Online gambling is gambling and if you are not sensible then you could potentially lose lots of money. A good idea would be to set a limit of money you are prepared to lose.
2. Becoming Addicted: When you win, it feels great and the urge to bet more money is tempting. Therefore you need to pace yourself so you do not go deep into debt.
So when you are home on that wet Friday night and have the urge to gamble, online be sensible. Give yourself a limit of money you are prepared to lose and enjoy the adrenaline of your heart pumping faster as you watch that horse race, sports team or have that flutter at the roulette wheel. Just imagine you win… or your loss.

Run in an Online Casino

Posted by admin in casino on December 10th, 2010 |  No Comments »

In the past, going to the casino meant flying to Las Vegas or driving to a hotel that has these facilities. Nowadays, this has changed. The person can do it all in the comforts of home while sitting down in front of the computer.
Online casinos have been around for some time. The games are almost complete to what can be found in the land-based casino. The rules in some of the games may be different but it is still with the same objective and that is to win some money.
There are two things needed to play in an online casino. The first is a computer with an internet connection. The other is the software program which can be downloaded from the casinos website or participating on it on live feed.
There are a lot of sites in the internet that can offer an online casino so looking it up in the internet is a start. Not all these sites are legitimate. Some are scams that are there to steal money from unsuspecting victims. Others put it up with a virus that can cause damage to the computer.
Another thing about online sites is about the payments. Some sites return the winnings immediately while there are those that don’t.
Sites that do this think that the longer the person plays; the chances of the player losing it are higher so that the site does not lose any money.
There are some sites that don’t offer free trials. Since it is hard to tell if that website is worth playing in, asking around can give the person an idea.
Those that offer free trials offer other games as well. That way, the person will know if it is a good site or not. There are a lot in the web to choose from and should the person like several, then there is no harm in playing in all of them. The player has to be sure there is money that can be used to enjoy the online casino.
Before playing, it is best to set a budget for the game. Should the person win or lose, that should be enough. Some people who are doing very well can get greedy and that could be a problem. If the person loses a lot, the problem of paying the huge amount is something that is hard to get out of.
Online casinos just like the real ones are all about having a little fun. This doesn’t have to happen daily and should only be done if the player has time. There are other things that people have to address such as a regular job and engaging in other activities.

Championship Betting Review

Reading finished their Championship winning campaign in style, by beating Sunderland’s points record by one point. Graeme Murty’s late penalty, only his second goal for the club and first of the season, ensured the Royals beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 and finished the season on 106 points.

Dave Kitson gave Reading the lead five minutes before the break but veteran Paul Furlong looked set to spoil the party when he equalised for the Hoops on 72. But Murty secured victory with six minutes left from the penalty spot, scoring 3/10 Reading’s 99th goal of the season.

Sheffield United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to ensure the Eagles finished in the sixth and final play-off spot. Chris Morgan scored the only goal of the game with nine minutes remaining for the 20/21 Blades.

Watford got the point they needed to finish third in the table after a goalless draw against Hull at Vicarage Road. The 5/2 draw means Adrian Boothroyd’s men now take a five-match unbeaten run into the play-offs semi final against Crystal Palace.

Preston earned a psychological edge over play-off opponents Leeds after beating them 2-0 at Deepdale. Brian Stock scored direct from a free kick after 38 minutes for the 6/5 Lillywhites and Brett Ormerod added a second on 77.

Wolves finished the season one place off but eight points adrift of the play-off places with a 2-1 win at Norwich. Denes Rosa opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and Mark Kennedy doubled Wolves’ advantage on 71. Robert Earnshaw hit back for the Canaries two minutes later but Glenn Hoddle’s side held firm at 14/5.

Coventry finished the season strongly at the expense of out-of-form Cardiff. Stern John broke the deadlock for the Sky Blues after eight minutes but the Bluebirds levelled through Steve Thompson on 21. Dele Adebola on 65 and Dennis Wise in stoppage time sealed a convincing Even money win at the Ricoh Arena.

Stoke boss Johan Boskamp ended his tenure in charge on a high after thumping Brighton 5-1, making a nonsense of the 8/5 odds available. Youngster Adam Rooney scored after 6 and 22 minutes before Mamady Sidibe made it three a couple of minutes before the break. Rooney completed his hat-trick on 63 and Peter Sweeny struck his first form the club on 82. Doug Loft grabbed a consolation two minutes later but the result condemned the Seagulls to bottom position in the table.

Bingo Cards

Posted by admin in Bingo on February 2nd, 2010 |  No Comments »

There are many different types of cyber bingo cards. The patterns and prices of the cards depend on the type of game begin played.

The average cyber bingo card consists of a 5×5 grid of numbers. Each block or space on the bingo card contains a number, except the middle block. The numbers range from 1 to 75 and depending on the game pattern some blocks are shades.

The pattern on the bingo card is vitally important as it is these spaces that need to be filled before you’re able to call ‘Bingo!’. The number of shaded blocks also varies with some bingo patterns containing up to 20 shaded blocks.

Every time a number is called out which matches a number on your ticket you need to mark it off on your card. This can become confusing if you’re playing three or more cards, after every number is called you’ll need to check all your cards and mark off every instance of that number. To make it easy to play with many cards at once every column is labeled and the numbers in each column fall within a particular range.

The five columns on a bingo card are labeled with the letters of the word BINGO.

The first column is labeled ‘B’ and contains only numbers ranging from 1 to 15.
The second column is labeled ‘I’ and contains only numbers ranging from 16 to 31.
The third column is labeled ‘N’ and contains only numbers ranging from 32 to 43.
The fourth column is labeled ‘G’ and contains only numbers ranging from 44 to 59.
The fifth column is labeled ‘O’ and contains only numbers ranging from 60 to 75.

Playing bingo is really simple, and after playing a few games of cyber bingo you’ll pick up the basic rules and structure of the game.

Bingo is one of the most entertaining online games; despite standing a chance of winning big jackpots you’ll also meet a bunch of new friends.

Poker Players Make

Posted by admin in Poker on November 11th, 2009 |  No Comments »

Some novices play free poker online and never win because of terrible gambling techniques. However, by knowing four common gambling mistakes that are made by new players, you can greatly increase your chances of winning games and tournaments.

1. Going all-in too often or in obvious desperation. In many tournaments with play money, some players go all-in the first hand. It may work for a few times, but after a while, someone will call you. In that case, you better hope that you have actually good cards. All-in can be used to get players to fold, but it should really only be used if you have a solid hand and could possibly double your stack. People should bluff very infrequently with an all-in. Going all-in with a bad hand is what many people call “bad poker.” Sometimes you can get lucky, but the best players bet carefully.

2. Under betting. If you have a good starting hand, don’t be afraid to raise pre-flop, or bet high after the flop. If you have a great hand, then slow playing can work very well. However, when you do start placing bets in a no-limit game, they should not be too small. One reason is that you won’t end up winning as much money if you bet small. Another reason is that you are giving incentives for many other players to stay in the hand. Therefore, you are giving other players chances to hit a hand that is better than yours. The best players bet just the right amount to get it where only one or two players call. In that case, your odds for winning are a lot better.

3. Over betting. Some players get very excited when they have a good hand. They may go all-in, or lay down outrageous bets. Not only is it a waste of a good hand, but also people can start to read you. If you constantly over bet only when you have something, then people will always fold and you won’t win money. However, if you don’t have anything, then people will also know because you aren’t laying down monstrous bets.

4. Finally, it is important to know when to fold. The best poker players are constantly watching other players, and guessing who could have better hands than they have. If someone bets high, and you know you have the best possible hand (which occurs rarely), then you can call. However, you need to know the odds of the other person having a better hand. Additionally, many new poker players call large bets when they don’t have anything, they just need a draw card. This is the worst type of gamble. Seldom will a person get that final card they need for a straight or a three-of-a-kind. Knowing the odds is key to playing good poker.

Betting Bonanza For Football Fans

This is USC coach Pete Carroll’s year to re-load and before anyone feels too sorry for him understand that the two players vying to replace Leinart were both regarded as the top prep quarterback in America their senior years. Bush, like Leinart, will be missed, but there’s a roll-call list of young, highly regarded runners anxious to win the job at tailback.

This is a team that went 37-2 the past three seasons with both of those losses coming by three points. Enough quality players return buoyed by a string of recruiting classes regarded among the finest in the country to give USC another shot at being in the middle of the BCS mix.

The problem for the Trojans is their opening week visit to hot, humid and hostile Arkansas where the embarrassed Razorbacks are waiting. Last season, USC hung up seventy points on Houston Nutt’s team and payback is on their minds rather than southern hospitality.

The number floating around Vegas has USC a 10 ½ point pick and I love the dog here and am definitely going to place a bet with my online sportsbook.

That same day, the California Golden Bears travel to Knoxville for a visit with the troubled Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols are coming off a pathetic 2005 season and the Golden Bears have been talented the last few years. The problem for bettors here is that the number will be inflated leaning Tennessee’s way as they are thought to have great athletes.

I would assume that Cal will be a + 4 dog and laying the wood with Phil Fulmer’s team is not recommended! Here isn’t going to be any online sports betting from me on this one.

The Costa Rica police has arrested Jeff Pearson for hundreds of averred fraud charges. All of these charges are in some way linked to a deceitful business that Parkson is tied to, and which stripped the unaware US citizens from nearly $13. The whole crime process is linked to the online casino industry through a Pearson’s sportsbetting business.

Pearson has been charged for 450 frauds. For many years Costa Rica has been his base for illegal activities made on the US territory, and all the looks of running the business in the United States have been made with the usage of Internet.

The Pearson’s early online sports betting business hasn’t been a part of any of his fraud projects which in fact didn’t have anything to do with gambling industry and were based on offering fake bargains to clients.
