The World Series of Snooker Announced It Will Sponsor Sportingbet.com
The World Series of Snooker announced it will sponsor for many years from now on Sportingbet.com, according to the Malta Independent newspaper.
The Series will now be known as the Sportingbet.com World Series of Snooker, as the online gambling company looks to cash in on the growing popularity of the series and the growth of the sport around the world.
The world champion John Higgins MBE ,executive director of the Series, said :βWe are delighted to announce Sportingbet.com as our partner for the next three years.
Like ourselves, they see the growth potential of this sport in Europe and it is our intention to further develop our existing events, bringing the total number of events staged in season 2009/10 to seven locations.β
